Viera Courthouse – Community Mural Project
At the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Justice Center in Viera, Florida, artist Jesse Travis brought warmth and imagination to the courthouse with a series of community-driven murals. Designed to create a welcoming environment for children and families, the artwork features gentle, larger-than-life wildlife scenes — including a curious giraffe peeking through lush greenery and a pair of elephants rendered in soft, expressive detail.
These murals transform the courthouse from a place often associated with stress into one that feels approachable, calming, and even inspiring. By incorporating natural elements and friendly animal figures, the project reflects the community’s commitment to making public spaces more inclusive and supportive for all ages.
